I am sorry this happened to you. I truly am. Get angry about that statement if you want but I need to know who mutilated you. Whoever has the knowledge, the means, and the strength to do that poses a danger to Castiel, Gabriel, and any other angels who may come here in the future.

But he sounds triumphant.]
You act as if I have not already told them what occurred.
[It's quiet.]
We are fine. Enjoy your paranoia. And leave me, and mine, alone.
voice | thursday
It's not paranoia, Inias, I have good reasons for wanting to know. I'm not the enemy here- I may be one enemy, but I'm not the biggest one. You should know that, you're intelligent enough.

alas, he is not.]
I have been beaten, violated, and robbed of everything I am. The Animus have destroyed my Grace. I am never going to get it back.
[His voice is petering off, almost impossibly soft, his cheek pressed into his pillow, his words (carefully controlled words, emotionless words) slightly muffled as a result.]
Forgive me, sister, but Castiel, Gabriel, and I are going to be fine. I could care less about you.
[There's an odd rattling noise as Inias draws in a breath, letting it out slowly, shuddered.]
Earn penance for your sins elsewhere.

[Quietly.]
But if you want to keep protecting Dean, then so be it. I saw him cut down an innocent person two days ago, I suspected this might be him.
voice | thursday
[Inias is going to cut Dean's throat the moment the hunter makes the mistake of coming near him or his family again. Hester was correct -- and Inias was stupid to believe otherwise. Dean Winchester is poison and the fact that the hunter now has his filthy hands on Inias' Grace is more than proof enough for him that he needs to be cut down.
But fine -- allow Naomi to believe he is protecting Dean out of some misaligned weakness. It would figure as much. And he hasn't got enough energy to argue with her past being difficult.]
voice | thursday
[She knows you better than you think, Inias, but why he would stubbornly protect the name of someone who mutilated and violated him is beyond comprehension.]
I'll take your lack of argument as a confirmation. He did do this.
voice | thursday
[It's muffled, as Inias has rolled a bit more fully into his pillow, bitter.]
Are you finished?
voice | thursday
Your Grace is gone because the world is unfair.
[She could tell him a story that would make that bitterness harden into hatred for the entire world, and all who dwell in it. But in a sense, he is right- he is and has always been a good soldier, a follower of rules, even for his unfortunate siding with Castiel during the civil war it was because his heart was in the right place and he truly believed he was following God.
If anyone deserved this mutilation, it was Castiel. Not Inias.]
Goodbye.
