Hrm.]
Who are you celebrating it with?
[ voice ]
I, uh. Well, everyone living in the temple. I was hoping.
[ voice ]
Hm.]
Angels do not celebrate human holidays, so I do not know exactly what Christmas entails.
I would be willing to try, though.
[ voice ]
Don't worry, I can show you the ropes! It's just a lot of being merry and decorating things in red and green obnoxiously. You'll get the hang of it!
So, you'll grow me a tree?
[ voice ]
[A bit
uncertainly.
But Inias likes being helpful.]
[ voice ]
Where do you want to meet?
[ voice ]
[ voice > action ]
[ She's totally there in, like, five minutes and practically bouncing up to him. ]
Hey, angel dude! How's it going?
[ action ]
Fine.
[Amicably enough, as he inclines his head toward her.]
Where would you like your tree?
[ action ]
[ Uuhhhmmm... Give her a second. The spot needs to be just right. After a bit of checking around, she stops in a spot a few yards away. ]
Here!
[ action ]
How big would you like it to be?
[ action ]
[ Sam is a good estimate okay he's a freakin' giant. Plus if it's a littler taller than him he can put on the star. It's perfect logic, really. ]
So seven feet or so! And it needs to be an evergreen tree. Like a spruce or pine or... whatever.
[ Can you tell she knows nothing about trees, Inias? Because she doesn't. ]
[ action ]
Would you like the tree to be prickly?
[ action ]
[ Christmas trees are kind of prickly, aren't they? It's been so long since she's had a real one that she's not sure. ]
Just not too much! We have to decorate it, after all.
[ action ]
In a few moments, a blue spruce begins to sprout, growing at a steady pace until it is, as she requested, seven feet tall. He looks kind of woozy after the fact and he closes his eyes to stop the headrush, but Inias soon opens them with a faint smile.]
Is this suitable?
[ action ]
It seems to have taken a bit of power though and she's concerned, briefly, until he smiles. Phew, okay. ]
Yeah! It's perfect. Now, we just need to find an axe and figure out how to get it inside.
[ action ]
[But he pauses, seeming to understand what she's saying, and Inias frowns deeply at her.]
Get it inside?
[ action ]
[ Don't you frown at her, Inias. This is part of Christmas! ]
Typically, Christmas trees are, y'know. Chopped down and put inside to decorate.
[ action ]
[And he looks up at the tree before looking back at Rosie, frowning.]
I just grew it.
[ action ]
What happens when it snows? All the ornaments will get ruined.
[ Because this place is lame and she can only make paper ornaments. ]

It can, I guess. It's just not as fun.
[ action ]
I can cut it down if you wish.
